The bags are made from a flexible tube of plastic material (2) by thermowelding of its lower and upper edges and by cutting and separation of the filled bag from the remainder of the flexible tube. The machine has producing means (3) for the production of ice cubes (10); means for storing and filling the bags, said means comprising a vertical and hollow rigid tube (13) introduced inside said flexible tube and remaining in compressed conditions while forming multiple folds; means for closing the filled bags, said means being arranged under and at one side with respect to the lower extremity of the rigid tube and comprising two superimposed thermowelding elements (18) and a cutting member (19) to cut the flexible tube; means for transporting the filled bags, said means comprising a carriage (20) displaceably mounted on conveyor chains (21); means for storing the filled bags, said means comprising a freezer cabinet (37); and means for dispensing the filled bags.
