The present invention relates to a tilting window that comprises a frame (10) having a profiled member continuously extending on the periphery as well as sash (12) also having a profiled member continuously extending on the periphery, wherein the frame (10) and the sash (12) fit into each other. A seal (22) continuously extending on the periphery is placed at the level of the fitting area so as to be hidden inside. An arrester mechanism holding the sash (12) is used for stopping said sash (12) at a given distance from the frame (10) so that it can tilt in the opening thereof.
