A fixing device is disclosed for saw blades which can be fixed to a reciprocating rod, in particular of motor-driven handsaws and sabre saws. The saw blade (8) lies between a clamping holder (1) and a movable clamping part (2) which is wedge-shaped at its side away from the saw blade and can be moved by means of a spring (3) into its rest position by a wedge (4), the wedge-shaped side of which lies against the wedge-shaped side of the clamping part (2), pressing the clamping part (2) against the saw blade (8).
