The invention relates to a device for endoscopic fine needle biopsy, in which control of the needle (2) is automatized by using a prestressed needle. On release of the spring (8), the needle shoots forward in the direction of the tissue, overcoming frictional force as a result of high acceleration. This reduces the danger of breaking the needle.
