The invention pertains to an electrical device for personal use such as an electric razor, hair clippers or hair-removal device, with a housing to accommodate an electric motor, a storage cell charging circuit and at least one chargeable storage cell which can be connected to the electric motor, and with a plug connector chamber in which a plug connector with pins is mounted so as to pivot, the pins being mounted movably inside a connector housing which surrounds them. The connector housing with the pins inside it can pivot out of or into the plug connector chamber, and when the plug connector is pivoted out of one of the broad sides of the housing, the adjacent connector pins parallel to that broad side can be pushed out of or into the plug connector housing by an actuator element mounted movably in the plug connector housing.
