An illuminated display device is disclosed with a light-guiding indicating dial (2), a light-guiding pointer (3, 3') with a pointer vane (16, 16'), and a light source (8, 9, 10) for producing light beams (30, 30') and feeding them into the pointer vane (16, 16') and dial (2); the pointer (3, 3') has deflecting surfaces (26, 28, 23', 26') which deflect a first portion (31, 31') of the light beams (30, 30') produced by the light source into the pointer vane (16, 16') and a second portion (32, 32') into the dial (2), and permit an even illumination of the pointer vane (16, 16') irrespective of its rotational position.
