The invention relates to an imaging system for a technical process characterised by operational statuses of components (58, 59) of a technical plant, especially a power station. In order to be albe to illustrate even complex operations of the plant's process, according to the invention the imaging system (1) has a number of image modules (2), each of which comprises a parametrisable graphic segment (6) to establish an optical image section and a parametrisable interface segment (4) to establish an image section characterising the logic behaviour of the corresponding component (58, 59). It also relates to a test process especially suitable for functional control to monitor the imaging system (1), in which the logic behaviour of the interface segment (4) and then the graphic behaviour of the graphic segment (6) are tested.
