By installing a magnetic valve (4) in a vehicle (1) in the fuel pipe (3) to the engine (7), the operating voltage of which is higher than the battery voltage, in a simple and reliable manner one can safeguard against the vehicle being driven far away and disappearing, in that the fuel supply is cut off. It is only by establishing the necessary operational voltage for the magnetic valve (4) that the supply of fuel to the engine (7) can be established, and herewith the operation of the vehicle.
