A two ballooned catheter device comprising an inner catheter (1) and an outer catheter (7) slidable one with respect to the other, and a coaxial conduit (17) connected to the proximal end of the outer catheter, a lateral conduit (16) being connected to the outer catheter for introduction of a fluid into a peripheral annular space (11) in communication with the balloon of the outer catheter, the inner catheter being connected to the other balloon, and the central annular space between the inner catheter and the outer catheter being in communication with the coaxial conduit, so that a fluid under pressure can be selectively introduced into each balloon and the space between the balloons through the central annular space. The device can be used for confining a sector of a duct or vessel of the body between the two balloons to convey a medicinal or diagnostic fluid into the confined sector or operating through dilation and relaxation of the sector of duct, particularly for the extraction of calculi.
