A plug (1) for a profiled safety edge section (2), comprising a first contact element for a first wire (3) of the profiled safety edge section (2), a second contact element for a second wire (4) of the profiled safety edge section (2), and an insertion nose (16), wherein the two contact elements are received in the insertion nose (16).
