Provided is an injector with a retractable needle body which comprises a syringe main body, a needle base tightly located inside the syringe, a needle body connecting with the needle base and piercing through the syringe main body and the needle base, and a push rod capable of sliding inside the syringe main body. The needle base has a wedge trough with several wedging ribs. The push rod has a wedge head with several rib troughs. When completing the injection, the push rod wedges with the wedge trough of the needle base via the wedge head and mutually wedges the rib troughs via the wedge ribs, thus when twisting the push rod, the push rod rotates and relieves the wedge status of the needle base and the syringe main body. Taking advantage of this, the push rod can smoothly draw back the needle base and the needle body and hide them inside the syringe main body.
