The present invention is related to a system and a method for measuring hydrogen content in a metal component. The system part includes the water trough, the transceiver and the electronic apparatus. The water trough is provided with the coupling fluid; and metal component can be disposed in the water trough. The transceiver is disposed at one side of the metal component for transmitting pulse ultrasonic signal to the metal component and receiving the pulse ultrasonic signal reflected by the metal component. The electronic apparatus is connected with the transceiver and is stored with the processing program for transmitting pulse ultrasonic signal to the transceiver and receiving the returned pulse ultrasonic signal from the transceiver. In addition, the relative distance between metal component and the transceiver is changed. When receiving the pulse ultrasonic signal at a predetermined measuring distance, hydrogen content in the metal component is obtained by conducting dual fast Fourier transformation process in the processing program onto the received pulse ultrasonic signal.
