This invention provides a supporting structure able to absorb earthquake energy, consisting of: a main frame and a supporting frame. A right and left pole and a top and bottom beams are set on the main frame, where the supporting columns consists of: columns of dual-H cross section and X profile assembled next to the poles on both inner sides of the main frame. The cross section area and bending moment rigidity (EI) of the supporting column members are greater than those of the main frame member; the strength and ductility of the supporting columns are greater than those of the main frame; thus the supporting column is able to guide the earthquake force to increase energy absorbing and quake lessening effect via bending even curve (M/EI) as well as provide strength and ductility. While a severe earthquake attacks, the larger energy absorbing area formed by the supporting columns may absorb most earthquake energy as the main frame supports extra vertical force caused by the tip moment to avoid instant damage of building in order to provide large exit or surviving area.
