A powder container, comprising: a first end; a second end including an opening; a nozzle receiving hole through which a transport nozzle included in an image forming apparatus and having a powder receiving inlet is inserted; a lift-up section; and a gear provided between the opening and the lift-up section, wherein the powder container communicates with the powder receiving inlet at a position which is inner side of the powder container and between the gear and the first end, an inner diameter of the powder container where the gear is provided is smaller than an inner diameter of the powder container at a center of the powder container which is between the second end and the first end, and the lift-up section is disposed such that the powder from the lift-up section is transferable to the powder receiving inlet when the transport nozzle is within the nozzle receiving hole.
