The purpose of the present invention is to provide a latching tool for remote operation, which has excellent durability and which can be relatively easily operated. The latching tool for remote operation is equipped with: a rotary disc which has a linear body accommodation space formed in the center thereof and a linear body insertion/removal opening formed in a cutout part thereof; a holder which holds the rotary disc in a rotatable manner; an operation rod attachment means which supports the holder and is attached to the tip of an operation rod; and an opening/closing gear piece which is attached in a swingable manner to a part of the rotary disc close to the linear body insertion/removal opening. The opening/closing gear piece has a fixed magnet part on a surface thereof which faces the rotary disc, and the rotary disc has a fixed magnet part in a region thereof which faces fixed magnet part of the opening/closing gear piece when the opening/closing gear piece is positioned to close the linear body insertion/removal opening.
