A vehicle head unit system includes a head unit, an operating panel and an adapter unit. The head unit has a receiving hole. The operating panel has an operating surface and a back surface opposite to the operating surface. The adapter unit has a first end and a second end. The first end is connected to the back surface of the operating panel. The second end is received in the receiving hole of the head unit, and the second end can be detached from the receiving hole of the head unit. Therefore, the operating panel and the head unit can be attached to each other and can be detached from each other.
