Provided is a cyclic azine compound which has excellent heat resistance and can be used in an electron transport material that has an excellent effect of prolonging the service life of an organic electroluminescent element or increasing the luminous efficiency of an organic electroluminescent element. A cyclic azine compound represented by formula (1); a method for producing the cyclic azine compound; and an organic electroluminescent element containing the cyclic azine compound as a constituent. [Ad's independently represent a 1-adamantyl group, or the like; p and q independently represent 0 or 1; Ar1 and Ar3 independently represent a single bond (when p represents 1 or q represents 1), a pyridyl group which may be substituted by a phenyl group or the like, or the like, wherein an Ad group on Ar1 and an Ad group on Ar3 are independently bound to the pyridyl group or the like; Ar2's independently represent a heteroaromatic group having 3 to 13 carbon atoms which may be substituted by a fluorine atom or the like, or the like; X1, X2, X3 and X4 independently represent a single bond, or the like; m and n independently represent 0, 1 or 2; Z represents a nitrogen atom, or the like; and n+p+q represents 1, 2 or 3].
