A control circuit for a power converter is adapted to control a input current of the power converter and to control the power converter to output a predetermined total output charge within each of line cycles. The control circuit includes an input current control circuit, an output charge detector and a logic circuit. The input current control circuit outputs a PWM signal which keeps the input current higher than a predetermined level. The output charge detector outputs a logic signal corresponding to the accumulated output charge of the power converter within each of the line cycles. The logic circuit controls a switch of the power converter according to the PWM signal and the logic signal to control the power converter to output the predetermined total output charge.
