A method for fabricating a flexible display module includes: providing a transparent carrier having a carrying surface and a back surface opposite to the carrying surface; forming a photosensitive release film on the carrying surface; providing a flexible substrate in the photosensitive release film; forming a pixel array on the flexible substrate; emitting a light to the entire photosensitive release film from the back surface of the transparent carrier during or after the process of forming the pixel array, to reduce a bonding force between the photosensitive release film and the transparent carrier, or to reduce both of a structural strength of the photosensitive release film and the bonding force between the photosensitive release film and the transparent carrier; and, removing the flexible substrate from the transparent substrate, wherein at least a part of the photosensitive release film is peeled from the carrying surface and retained on the flexible substrate.
