PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forging press device for valves, capable of reducing the time required for conveying and carrying a primary molded workpiece molded in an upsetting device toward the forging press main unit. SOLUTION: A forging press device comprises: a workpiece feeding device for feeding workpieces to the forming stage of an upsetting device (20); a forging press main body (10), which is to carry out secondary forming for the primary molded workpiece (W1); a high-speed articulated robot (60) for conveying the workpiece (W1) to the forging press main body (10), the robot comprising a pair of chucks (32, 34) that slide in unison relative to the upsetting device 20 in the lateral direction and independently slide along the longitudinal direction for feeding the workpieces. Because the conveying device is constituted as the workpiece feeding device, the number of transfer from the upsetting device (20) to the forging press main body (10) is decreased, and after the discharge operation of the workpiece (W1) by the chuck (34), the chuck (32) immediately proceeds the feeding operation for the workpiece (W), thereby improving the speed of valve forging line and the production efficiency.
