The present invention provides a molding device and a manufacturing method for glass casings, the device and method capable of improving the productivity of the glass casings by shortening a molding cycle. The present invention is a molding device for glass casings, the molding device conveying a glass material (50) to heating, press molding, and cooling stages in sequence, and press molding the glass material by a molding die configured from an upper die (11) and a lower die (12). The molding device is provided with: a heating means (3b), a pressing means (4b) and a cooling means (5b) on which the lower die on which the glass material is mounted is mounted, and which perform heating, press molding and cooling processes, respectively, on the mounted glass material; and a control means which controls the respective processes, and the pressing means has two or more pairs of pressing plates and comprises an assignment means which, when the glass material is conveyed from the heating means to the pressing means, assigns the glass material, in turn, to two or more pressing plates.
