An object of the present invention is to provide a manufacturing method of resin compositions used in a solar battery sealant. By using said resin compositions, the processing time can be reduced to lower the costs and improve the shelf stability of said resin compositions. Furthermore another objective of the present invention is to provide a solar battery sealant. By using said solar battery sealant, there is no fish eye produced and is with favorable transparency. The manufacturing method of said resin composition of the present invention is characterized in comprising a step of preparing a ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (A) and a crosslinker (B) as the raw materials, wherein said ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (A) contains 25 to 35wt% of vinyl acetate monomers and the impregnation weight of said crosslinker (B) (at 23 DEG C per 24 hours) relative to 1g of said ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (A) is 40mg to 80mg; and a step of impregnating said crosslinker (B) with said ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (A) at 15 to 80 DEG C.
