Provided is a container with a lid, capable of providing a high sealing efficiency when the lid is closed. An upper opening (21) of a container body (20) is provided with a container inner side wall portion (22) and a container side skirt portion (24) which extends downward from an upper end of the container inner side wall portion (22). The lid (10) is provided with a lid inner side wall portion (12) and a lid side skirt portion (14) which extends downward from an upper end of the lid inner side wall portion (12). The lid side skirt portion (14) is provided with two or more projections (15) which project inwardly. When the lid is closed, a sealed portion which is liquid-tight in the entire circumference direction is formed between the container inner side wall portion (22) and the lid inner side wall portion (12). First guide surfaces (30) are formed on the container side skirt portion (24) to guide the projections (15) in the downward direction when the lid (10) is attached. When the lid is closed, the projections (15) are caused to move downwardly, and consequently, the lid (10) is caused to move toward the container body (20). Thus, the sealed portion formed between the container inner side wall portion (22) and the lid inner side wall portion (12) is brought into a press-contact state to provide a high sealing efficiency.
