A wide-angle optics system has an aperture, a first lens (L1) having a positive refractive power, a second lens (L2) having a negative refractive power, and a third lens (L3) that is an aspheric lens in the order from an object side. For the shape of the third lens (L3), when viewed from a cross-section surface of the lens including an optical axis, a form in the vicinity of the optical axis is in the meniscus shape where a convex surface is directed toward the object side, while the object side surface and the image side surface at the peripheral portion are in the meniscus shape where the convex surfaces are directed toward the image side,and the following conditional equations are satisfied: -0.40 < f/f3 < 0.15 (1-1) 0.30 < hc7/hp7 < 2.0 (1-2) where f is an overall focal length of the wide-angle optics system, and f3 is a focal length of the third lens. When the light beam passing through a center of the aperture at an angle of 36 degrees relative to the optical axis is Lm, a point where Lm is passing through the image side surface of the third lens is Pm7, and a distance from Pm7 to the optical axis is hc7, while a distance from an apex Pp7 of the convex form on the image side surface of the third lens to the optical axis is hp7.
