The purpose of the present invention is to eliminate deposition of a coating on a fixture for supporting an object to be coated. The masking materials 20, 28 are mounted on the fixture 1 and the object 31 to be coated supported on the fixture is subjected to spray-coating. Said masking materials containing the polymer alloy as material, the polymer alloy comprising polyphenylene ether 20 to 80 mass% and polyamide 80 to 20%, or comprising styrene resin 0 to 50 mass part(s), styrene elastomer 0 to 50 mass part(s) relative to 100 mass parts of the mixture of polyphenylene ether 20 to 80 mass% and polyamide 80 to 20%. The object 31 supported on the fixture is subjected to spray-coating.
