Provided is a riding type vehicle, which has a V-belt type continuously variable transmission, so as to materialize speed change action according to a vehicle travel condition with good response. In the V-belt type continuously variable transmission (30) for ATV, a movable sheave (32a) of a primary sheave (32) is arranged vehicle lateral direction outside of a fixed sheave (32b), a sheave drive mechanism (39) adjusting groove widths of the primary sheave (32) and a secondary sheave (34) by drive force of an electric motor (38) is arranged vehicle lateral direction outside of the movable sheave (32a) of the primary sheave (32). A foot board of AVT is arranged vehicle lateral direction outside of the V-belt type continuously variable transmission (30) and below a primary sheave shaft (31) and a secondary sheave shaft. A part of the electric motor (38) is arranged on the primary sheave shaft (31).
