In a droplet inspection device and method for inspecting an area of a droplet ejected from a plurality of nozzles provided in an inkjet head, the droplet inspection device comprises: a velocity measuring unit provided to measure a velocity of a droplet by measuring a frequency change of a laser beam irradiated toward the droplet ejected from the plurality of nozzles; a time measuring unit configured to measure a time that the droplet passes the laser light when measuring a velocity with respect to the droplet; and an analyzing unit configured to analyze an area of the droplet through the velocity and the time.
