Disclosed are an insulation box for a liquefied natural gas (LNG) tank and a manufacturing method thereof. The insulation box for an LNG tank, which is prepared in a LNG tank, comprises: multiple plate-shaped members which are loaded in a horizontal direction; particle filling layers which are inserted between the plate-shaped members to improve the insulation performance of the insulation box; and a membrane member which surrounds the outer sides of the particle filling layers to prevent the particles of the particle filling layers from leaking to the outside.
