The present invention relates to a composition for solving, preventing or treating an obesity and muscle diseases, which contains an inula flos extract as an active ingredient. The composition provides adipocyte differentiation, fat accumulation inhibition, increase in muscular mass, and muscular strength enhancement effects. The inula flos extract is an anhydrous or hydrous lower alcohol extract having 1-4 carbon atoms.
