JIS Z 2244:2009에규정된조건하에서행해지는비커스경도시험에있어서, 다이아몬드다결정체의표면에시험하중 4.9 N의비커스압자를압입한상태에서상기다이아몬드다결정체의표면에형성되는제1 비커스압흔의대각선의길이를 d로하고, 상기시험하중을해제한후에상기다이아몬드다결정체의표면에남는제2 비커스압흔의대각선의길이를 d'로한 경우에, 상기 d에대한상기 d'의비(d'/d)의값이 0.98 이하인다이아몬드다결정체이다.
