The terminal device (3) for wireless communication includes a wireless interface 25 that is configured for communication with the radio access network 10 of a cellular communication network. The terminal device 3, via an air interface (25), is arranged to send a message to at least one other terminal (2). The message includes the configuration information associated with the repeater functions of the terminal device. The terminal device 3 is configured to after the transmission of the message, activate the repeater function to start to relay the communication between the request terminal 2 and the radio access network 10 of at least one other terminal (2) .
