Phenoxy phenyl silane (phenoxyphenylsilane) monomers have been synthesized and polymerized. Polymers having a high refractive index (refractive indices) and an excellent UV and heat stability. Their number and the oxygen permeability is lower than that of commercially available (commercial) phenyl silicone elastomer (phenyl silicone elastomers). They show a good confluent (compatibility) with the metal oxide nanoparticles. Polymer of the invention is suitable as a light guide material on the LED as a suture material (encapsulant), CMOS image sensor, OLED device (devices), lasers and other optical applications (applications).
