A resin composition comprising a cycloolefin resin (A) with a chlorine-containing resin (B) to form a resin film. The chlorine-containing resin (B) may be either vinylidene chloride polymer. The cycloolefin resin (A) may be either a cyclic olefin copolymer. The content of the chlorine-containing resin (B) is, with respect to the cycloolefin resin (A) 100 parts by weight, and may be 0.5 to 60 parts by weight given. Since the film is solid with having a proper release and adhesion to the electrolyte membrane and the electrode film of the polymer electrolyte fuel cell, the easy-adhesion without interposing an adhesive layer such as a layer, can be brought into close contact with the generic base film, a polymer the fuel cell membrane is suitable for a release film for producing the membrane electrode assembly.
