The valve body 12 of the pressure reducing valve has a one-stage tapered portion (23) seated in an inner circumferential surface of the valve hole (31). The inner peripheral surface of the valve hole 31, is formed in the first region 33, second region 34, third region 35, in turn from the upstream side of the flow direction of the fluid. A first region (33), when the valve is opened, the height of the flow path between the first stage tapered portion 23 of the valve body 12 is formed so as to diminish larger toward the downstream side of the flow direction. The second region 34 is, when the flow path when the valve opening height is constant along with the valve closing is formed with its entire area to contact the one-stage tapered portion. In addition, the third area 35 is, at the time of valve opening, is formed to a height of passage increasingly more toward the downstream side of the flow direction.
