본발명은 C4, C5, C6 스트림을이용한탄화수소의업그레이드방법에관한것으로, 구체적으로는납사접촉분해(NCC), 중질유업그레이드공정(heavy oil upgrading process), 열분해공정(thermal cracking), 또는유동접촉분해공정(FCC 또는 RFCC)의생성물인 C4, C5, C6 스트림을준비하는단계; 상기 C4, C5, C6 스트림을촉매를이용하여올리고머화반응을진행함으로써분지형분자내 불포화탄화수소(Branched internal olefins)를생성하는단계; 상기분지형분자내 불포화탄화수소를분별증류하여 C14~18 생성물또는 C32~40 생성물로분리하는단계를포함함으로써, C4, C5, C6 스트림을이용하여탄화수소를업그레이드하는방법에관한것이다.
