摘要：

본 발명에 따른 항체는 B형 간염 바이러스 (HBV)의 HBsAg에 결합하여 B형 간염바이러스를 중화하는 항체로서, 본 발명에 따른 항체의 표면항원 결합부위가 바이러스 복제에 매우 중요한 역할을 하는 부위라는 것을 기존에 확인하였으며 이 부분에 변이가 일어날 경우 바이러스 복제가 현저하게 저해되기 때문에 적어도 HBV 바이러스가 이 부위에는 변이를 유발시킬 수 없다. 따라서 본 발명에서는 종래의 바이러스 복제 억제제에 의해 생성된 YMDD 내성 B형 간염 바이러스 또는 혈장 유래 HBIG (hepatitis B immunoglobulin)이 결합하지 못하는 HBV 표면항원의 G145R 돌연변이에 본 발명에 따른 항체가 결합하는 것을 환자 유래 바이러스를 통해 확인하였으며, B형 간염 바이러스의 유일한 동물 모델인 침팬지를 이용하여 본 발명에 따른 항체의 in vivo 효능을 확인하였다. 그 결과 야생형 B형 간염 바이러스이기는 하지만 in vivo 모델에서 중화 효능을 가지고 있음을 확인하였다. 이에 본 발명의 항체는 야생형 B형 간염 바이러스 뿐만 아니라 B형 간염바이러스의 중합효소 내의 YMDD 변이형과 표면항원의 G145R 회피형 및 여러 환자들에서 유래된 변이형에 대해서도 모두 결합능을 가지고 있음을 확인 할 수 있어, B형 간염 야생형 바이러스 뿐만 아니라 돌연변이형 바이러스의 감염에 대한 예방 또는 치료에도 효과적으로 사용할 수 있다.
