단말의 스위치 조작 방향을 제어하는 장치에 관한 것으로, 그 장치는 센서 신호를 기반으로 단말의 위치 상태를 인식하는 상태인식부와 인식된 단말의 위치 상태에 따라, 단말에 물리적으로 부착되어 사용자로부터 각종 제어 명령을 입력받는 스위치의 조작 방향을 조절하는 방향조절부를 포함할 수 있다. 본 실시예에 따르면 스마트 폰 등의 단말에서 자이로센서를 기반으로 항상 일관된 논리적 스위치 조작 방향을 제어함으로써 사용자의 스위치 조작 방향성에 대한 혼란이나 불편을 방지하고 사용자의 스위치 조작 실수를 방지하여 사용자 편의성을 향상시킬 수 있다.
