It discloses a capacitive physical quantity sensor with a movable electrode 18 and the movable electrode facing the fixed electrode 19, which is formed on weights section 17. Second movable detection electrode 22 and the second fixed detection electrode 25 faces in the second direction y. The first movable damping electrode 23 has two first fixed damping located in the center between the electrodes 26, opposite from the first fixed damping electrode and the first y direction on one side and the first fixed and the other damping electrode and it faces 2 in the y direction. A plurality of first movable damping electrodes are located in axial symmetry through the center line (CL) past the point-symmetrical or centered along the y direction through the center (CP) portion weights.
