The present invention discloses a system and apparatus 100 for measuring the corrosion element in the air flowing to the turbo machine. The apparatus includes a fluid circuit 202 with the detection modules 206 having a sensing element located in the manifold 330. Manifold 330 surrounds the sensing element to prevent flow of the sample mixture in the air manifold 330, along with the air from the environment. In one embodiment, the fluid circuit also includes a fluid flow module with factors such as the flow meter (324) for sensing a flow characteristic of a pressure instrument 326, or the sample air flow. Operation of the fluid flow module may result in the exchange on the flow characteristics of the sample air flow to make the best use of the detection of the corrosion element.
