The present invention relates to a lighting apparatus and, especially, to a lighting apparatus using a halogen ballast stabilizer and a light emitting diode. The lighting apparatus of the present invention may include a ballast stabilizer for dropping an alternate current voltage inputted from an alternate current power source and outputting the dropped alternate current voltage; a rectifier for rectifying an output voltage of the ballast stabilizer; a buck-boost converter which is connected to the rectifier, and includes a switch device; a converter control part for controlling the switch device; a buck converter connected to an output stage of the buck-boost converter; and a light emitting part which is connected to an output stage of the buck converter, and includes a plurality of light emitting diodes.
