The present invention relates to a device and a method for producing alkanol. By means of the present invention, the used amount of steam in a reboiler of the device or of a coolant in a condenser is reduced when alkanol is produced so that energy can be saved. Steam generated through a heat exchanger for generating steam can be used in various fields. Moreover, by means of the present invention, high purity alkanol can be produced.
