Disclosed is an image scanning device. The image scanning device comprises a scanning unit which generates a scan image by scanning a manuscript; a storage unit which stores the generated scan image; an image processing unit which includes multiple image processing modules individually having buffers to store the scan image in units of blocks, reads the generated scan image in units of blocks, and processes the read scan image in units of blocks sequentially using the image processing modules; and a control unit which stores the processed scan image in the storage unit.
