Disclosed are an apparatus and a method to estimate an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) channel using a space-frequency block-coded training sequence. The method to estimate the OFDM channel using the space-frequency block-coded training sequence comprises the steps of receiving the space-frequency block-coded training sequence; and estimating a channel using the received training sequence and a stored training sample.
