The wireless communication system including a base station, a relay apparatus, and the terminal device is described. The terminal device is operable to receive allocation of uplink resources for transmitting uplink data to the relay apparatus from the base station, using the uplink resource allocated to the terminal apparatus to transmit the uplink data to the relay device. Repeater is the uplink data received from the assigned to the uplink data transmission resource, and receiving an allocation of uplink resources for relaying the received uplink data to the base station, and receiving from the terminal device, the relay device using the uplink resource allocation is operable to transmit to the base station.
