The present invention relates to a method for bonding a thermoplastic polymer having a melting temperature above the curing temperature of the thermosetting polymer to a thermosetting polymer component. Step of the method is that the steps of providing a cured thermosetting polymer component containing implant of the thermoplastic polymer in at least a part of the thermosetting polymer components to be joined, at least in contact with a portion to be joined where the thermoplastic polymer, the assembly to the melting temperature of the thermoplastic polymer by heating, and the molten thermoplastic polymer of the implant and a step, and a step of cooling the assembly to fuse the thermoplastic polymer. The thermoplastic polymer has a melting temperature above the curing temperature of the thermosetting polymer, the implant is designed to be heated is prevented from exceeding the maximum operating temperature of the thermosetting polymer at the interface of the thermosetting polymer components and the implant during the bonding step.
