The present invention relates to a method for increasing production amount of 1,3-propandiol using a medium to which an osmoprotective agent is added when producing the 1,3-propandiol through microbe culturing and more specifically, to a method for increasing production amount of 1,3-propandiol which maintains cell activities by adding the osmoprotective agent to a medium in order to suppress degradation of cell activities due to osmosis increase when increasing concentration of 1,3-propandiol produced by microbe culturing. The method of the present invention increases production amount of 1,3-propandiol.
