본 발명은 조명 장치, 확대 유닛(VE) 및 광 변조기(SLM)를 구비한 홀로그래픽 디스플레이에 관한 것이다. 조명 장치는 적어도 하나의 광원과 광 시준장치(LCU)를 포함하고, 광 시준장치(LCU)는 적어도 하나의 광원의 광을 시준하고 평면파의 구별가능한 각도 스펙트럼을 가진 광원에 의해 방사된 광의 광 파동장을 발생하도록 설계되며, 확대 유닛(VE)은 광 전파 방향에서 볼 때 광 시준장치(LCU)의 하류에 배치되고, 확대 유닛(VE)은 광 파동장의 왜상 확장이 광 파동장과 부피 홀로그램(VH)의 투과형 상호작용에 기인하여 실현되도록 설계 및 배치되는 투과형 부피 홀로그램(VH)을 포함하고, 광 변조기(SLM)는 광 전파 방향에서 볼 때 왜상 확대 유닛(VE)의 상류 또는 하류에 배치된다.
