The tungsten carbide particles and cobalt-silicon alloy binder has a composition of cemented carbide is disclosed comprising as the essential components. In addition, a method for producing an article comprising a cemented carbide composition and the composition of the cemented carbide is disclosed. The pellets having a cemented carbide composition can be used in the form of non-shredded or crushed form.
