PURPOSE: A hardcoating composition is provided to improve surface hardness and abrasion resistance without loss of transparence of a plastic material. CONSTITUTION: A hardcoating composition comprises 5-50 wt% of a boehmite nanoparticle with modified surface; 10-50 wt% of a photocurable acrylate compound; 30-70 wt% of an organic solvent; and 1-10 wt% of a photoinitiator. The pH of the hardcoating composition is 4-6. The surface of the boehmite nanoparticle is modified with an alkoxysilane compound. The alkoxy silane compound includes at least one of an acrylic alkoxy silane compound and vinyl-based alkoxy silane compound. The particle size of the boehmite nanoparticle is 1-20 nm.
