The method for processing the control channel in a user agent (UA) is disclosed for identifying at least one of the uplink and downlink resource grant in a wireless communication system. Granted resource is received by using a control channel element (CCE) subsets, each subset is a CCE control channel candidates, UA is composed of a single time interval in each carrier operates to decode up to M control channel candidates.
